Well hello there! I’m Amanda Mae. I’m a librarian by trade and degree, a writer, an amateur historian, a book blogger, a music fan and former groupie (especially of the local Charleston, SC music scene circa 2004), and a sometime dabbler in various handicrafts. Though born in Chicago, I’ve lived most of my life south of the Mason-Dixon Line, and currently reside in Utah – a turn of events I had not anticipated, but it’s turning out alright.
I read fiction, pop history, Civil War history, memoirs, and the occasional young adult novel. I will geek out with you when you discover how many awesome eBooks your library has that you can check out for free. Sometimes I’m actually able to do some creative fiction writing.
I previously blogged about books at Not Your Relief Society Book Club with my friend and former library school classmate Maria.
